take off in a "dread" and circle around for several minutes
before settling once again.

Gannet juvenile

As adult birds collect nest-grasses along the cliff top, a juvenile bird
hovers and observes the goings on.

Sunlight from the front and darkened rear outlined these flying geese easily for the
autofocus.
High shutter speed helped the IS system cope with any movement issues.
